Lina Vaitiekunaite

Lina is a graduate of the Vilnius Academy of Arts and lives and works in Vilnius. She paints primarily on medium to large canvases, often incorporating recurring motifs like the sun or a circle—symbols that appeared intuitively rather than by design.

To Lina, the sun reflects transformation, life, and rebirth. Her paintings absorb elements of her daily life—books, love stories, even her children’s drawings. Though she long dreamed of being an artist, it was personal upheaval that pushed her to fully commit.

“I want people to pause, reflect, and get lost in thought when viewing my work,” she says. “I don’t like to explain my paintings—what matters is what others see in them.”
